Private Session, in your own home

Why?

This option is effective when the issues you're concerned with happen inside your home. By seeing your environment I get a lot of the information I need to create solutions based on your home's layout and design. Common issues many people need help with are:
    food and object stealing
    house soiling
    difficulties at the front door
    inappropriate barking
    jumping on people
    food or resource guarding
    pulling on leash during walks
    inappropriate chasing

Who?

Dogs of all ages who are having issues around the home.

Socialization Tune-up, in your neighborhood

Why?

If your dog is nervous, afraid or too excitable around other dogs we can work on his communication with other dogs. By setting up casual but controlled meetings, you and your dog can learn and practice safe meetings and play so that future trips to the dog park are fun for both of you. Skills you can teach your dog are:

    proper greeting behaviours and approaches
    preventing outbursts
    redirecting inappropriate behaviours
    dog park etiquette and safety
walking safely and calmly on the sidewalk

Who?

This option is good for adult dogs who have difficulty meeting, seeing, playing with or passing other dogs on the sidewalk.

New Puppy In The Home

Why?

Puppies can be rather perplexing! If you're interested in helping your puppy learn the rules of the house then this option is for you. I can help you show your puppy exactly what you want, answer questions and help you prepare for your puppy's next stage. Solutions can be found for issues like:

potty training problems based on puppy's age and history
curbing nipping and biting, teaching bite inhibition
learning useful, fun obedience for everyday living
    teething and chewing issues
setting limits and developing house rules
    discovering appropriate exercises and games
dealing with health, nutrition and grooming uncertainty
    socialization and acclimation to environments

Who?

This option is good for new and veteran puppy owners who are unsure how to correct problems that are occurring.

If your home has been blessed with a new adult dog you might find some behaviours popping up which cause concern. Every dog has a history which has shaped the way it lives in the world. For new dog owners, I can help you:
help your dog settle down and feel at ease in your home
set the record straight about house training
recognize, anticipate and prevent problems early on in your relationship
set up practical routines and set achievable limits
with grooming, health care, diet and emergencies
introduce and continue fun obedience for everyday living
